explanation:
This recall involves BMX Race Box One oversized 31.8 Delta bicycle stems used to clamp fork steerers and/or handlebars. The recalled stems have a dual-tone gray stripe laser-etched on the side of the stem body at approximately a 45-degree angle. “Boxone” and a box icon are also laser etched into the stem. The stem was sold separately from the bike. The bolt used for the stem is 6 mm in diameter and 20 mm long. The stems were sold in a variety of colors, including black, red, blue, gold, purple, and silver.
Therapy:
Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled bicycle stem and contact Box Components for a full refund or a free replacement stem, including shipping.
Accident/Injury:
The company has received one report of a crack in the stem's faceplate. No injuries were reported.

Available at BMX race dealers nationwide and online at https://boxcomponents.com from January 2023 to October 2023. Bicycle stems are sold separately for about $100.
