Concord, North Carolina – Both weekends of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series at Bristol Motor Speedway will be held on a specific layout of the 0.533-mile track, the venue announced Friday.
From 1962 to 2020, Bristol hosted one race in the spring and one race in the summer on the concrete oval. This track has a two-time history with him dating back to his first year in 1961, with eight of his 12 wins coming in the spring event when Hendrick Motorsports scored points at the “Last Great Coliseum.” It belongs to. Jimmie Johnson most recently won the race in 2017, which was postponed from Sunday to Monday.
“I think Concrete Bristol is really, really cool,” Alex Bowman said during an appearance on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio on Friday after the news was announced. “Growing up watching this sport, this is such an iconic racetrack. … I feel like there's a lot of prestige to this place in normal times.”

For the past three seasons, spring races have been held with the course covered in dirt. With the exception of the 2021 race, the heat races will set the lineup for the dirt races. Kyle Larson's fourth-place finish at the 2022 event was Hendrick Motorsports' best finish in a main dirt race.
The specific date and time of the Bristol race will be announced at a later date. The only other things we know about the 2024 schedule is that the Daytona 500 will be held on Sunday, February 18th, and that championship weekend will return to Phoenix Raceway for the fifth consecutive season.
