Columbus-based Cummins is seeking a long-time member of its team to lead its Components business unit.
Amy Davis has been appointed president of the business unit and has been overseeing the Accela business since 2020, maintaining her current leadership role.
As a leader at Accelera, Mr. Davis was instrumental in the acquisition of multiple companies and helped increase annual revenue by more than 400%, according to a Cummins news release.
The Axela and Components business segments will continue under Mr. Davis' direction as separate segments, but will operate under a unified general manager.
“Amy has the skills and experience to continue the momentum and growth of both businesses,” Cummins CEO Jennifer Ramsey said in a news release. “I have confidence in the future of both under her leadership.”
Mr. Davis has been with Cummins since 1994 and was vice president of the company's filtration business before heading up Axela, which was rebranded from New Power earlier this year.
