Discord has finally announced that a new mobile layout has been rolled out to users and major design complaints have been fixed in preparation for its launch.
In early 2023, Discord users began discovering Easter eggs hidden within the mobile app that allowed for an all-new, completely redesigned layout.
This was found by pressing the glitter emoji in the app for a few seconds, but the biggest complaint was the way Discord moved the server list, and it didn't get very good reviews.

Discord revealed on December 5, 2023 that the new layout has finally been rolled out to users and major design complaints have been fixed in preparation for its launch.

Discord revealed in a blog post that the new horizontal server list included in the easter egg version of the new layout will no longer exist once it's rolled out to users.
Discord brought back vertical server navigation because many users complained that landscape orientation made it difficult to quickly switch between servers when chatting with six or more people.

“With your feedback in mind, we went back to the drawing board to find a way to organize chat without making the app difficult to use. is divided into different tabs, but retains the familiar vertical server navigation,” they said.
Several other updates to the layout include upgrades to DM and search, the latter of which is now searchable across all messages, files, and attachments.

Discord has also finally launched a midnight color scheme for its users. True Black Midnight mode, previously known as “AMOLED” mode, was previously accessible through one of the apps' many Easter eggs.
