How to split the screen using Snap Layout in Windows 11
Snap Layouts are available in all versions of Windows 11. The following steps explain how to use snap layouts.

The snap layout menu has six sections. Each represents a supported layout for snap layouts. Each layout is divided into 2 to 4 possible locations.
Select the desired snap layout location. Snap layout instantly moves the window to the location you select.

The free space next to the window displays a selection of additional open windows. This is the snap flyout.
Select an application in the Snap flyout to snap it to an empty part of the screen. Continue this until all available spots are filled.
Or select outside the snap flyout to exit the snap layout. All windows you have placed so far remain in their original positions.
How to split your screen using Windows Snap Assist
The new Snap Layout feature in Windows 11 adds to, not replaces, the Windows Snap feature that was in previous versions of Windows. Snap Assist is a great way to split the screen on your Windows PC, especially if you want to split it and see one window in each half.

When you use Snap Assist, a Snap flyout may appear. This occurs when Windows detects that a large portion of the desktop is not occupied. You can use the snap flyout to fill other parts of the screen, or click outside the snap flyout to close it.
Alternatively, you can activate Snap Assist using your keyboard.Under press window + left arrow or window + right arrow Snaps the currently active window to the left or right side of the screen, respectively.
