Spanish logistics company LASO has played a key role in Spain's transition to clean energy by transporting vital components for the new Stev wind farm.
This complex job involved a dedicated team of LASO experts from different departments, including sales, project management, operations, piloting, as well as a reporting and photography team. Over a three-week period, LASO delivered 50 wind turbine parts, including tubes, nacelles, hubs, drives and blades.
The need to collect parts from various locations, including Aranda del Duero and Santander, posed challenges that required meticulous planning and logistical coordination. In addition, the summer heat posed risks, necessitating extra precautions such as constant monitoring of the cargo's condition to prevent fires.
LASO’s commitment to safety and efficiency is evident in its use of specialized equipment such as hydraulically adjustable power adapters that optimize the transportation of the massive nacelles and tubes.
“We are very pleased with the success of this operation. It was an exemplary job of coordination between teams and overcoming logistical challenges, achieved thanks to everyone's dedicated efforts,” commented the Project Manager in charge of the service.
