Paravision releases its latest reference design for biometric passenger processing for the air travel industry to help industry professionals adopt and travel enthusiasts understand the technology.
Biometric Contactless Corridor 2.0 uses Paravision's facial recognition to cover several passenger screenings, from immigration to security screening and plane boarding. The new version is based on the company's proprietary contactless corridor concept, but reduces deployment costs and increases adaptability while maintaining security, according to the announcement.
The company also published a free white paper to accompany the reference design. The design is designed to allow airports to eliminate long wait times for traditional identity and passport checks. The whitepaper focuses on immigration and border control use cases and includes details about Paravision Search and other backend infrastructure and its integration with contactless corridors.
The company says the new design is closer to traditional physical airport layouts and security management approaches.
Paravision also launched updates to its 6th generation facial recognition product suite in August. Meanwhile, the company continues to receive high marks in NIST tests for facial recognition accuracy.
