The biennial Singapore Air Show has taken place, but lacks notable participants. Boeing has no commercial aircraft on display at the event, and competitors Airbus and now Commack could steal much of the attention.

Boeing will not bring commercial aircraft to the 2024 Singapore Air Show. These include the Boeing 737 MAX and 777X, which have appeared as guests at previous air shows, including the 2023 Paris Air Show and Dubai Air Show. Boeing's absence from the Singapore Air Show comes in light of a significant drop in aircraft orders and deliveries. The decline was partially due to a door plug explosion on Alaska Airlines Flight 1282, which was operated on a brand new 737 MAX 9, in January.
In light of the door plug scandal, further questions have been raised about Boeing and its affiliates' manufacturing processes for various aircraft parts. Boeing isn't displaying any airliners in Singapore this year, but that doesn't mean it's completely absent from the air show.
In addition, Boeing plans to continue exhibiting cabin mockups of the Boeing 777X. The 777X, the world's largest twin jet, has been plagued by delays due to a variety of factors. Boeing is currently expected to deliver the first 777X to Emirates in 2025.

Boeing's presence at the 2024 Singapore Air Show will be small, meaning competitors could steal much of the attention. Airbus plans to fly the A350-1000 in an aerial display. This wide-body giant has seen many examples in the past at airshows such as Dubai and Farnborough.
This year's A350-1000 aviation display will feature Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), a major development in commercial aviation. Airbus will have a static display of helicopters and other aircraft, including another commercial jet, the A330neo.
Another high-profile guest at the air show is the China Civil Aviation Corporation (Comac). The company is preparing to display its C919 narrow-body aircraft at air shows, including aerial displays. This will be the first time the C919 will fly internationally.
The C919 has only been ordered by Chinese airlines and will compete with the Airbus A320neo and Boeing 737 MAX. As the show progresses, many are interested in whether Comac will be able to land the first international order for his C919 aircraft.

The Singapore Airshow, “the aviation industry's premier meeting place”, is held every two years. The event will be hosted by high-level airlines, as well as military and government delegations. Launched in 2008, it is considered his third largest air show in the world, after Farnborough Air Show and Le Bourget Air Show. The Singapore Airshow is Asia's largest aviation event, along with the Dubai Airshow.
The show will be held at the Changi Exhibition Center, located near Changi Air Base and Singapore's world-famous Changi International Airport. When the first Singapore Airshow was held in 2008, we were able to host a flying display of the Airbus A380. At this first event, Korean Air ordered three A380s valued at $906 million. Among other milestones, Garuda Indonesia converted its previous Boeing 777-200 order into 10 777-300ER aircraft, a deal worth $2 billion.
