Stardock today announced Start11 v2 and the release preview of the industry's most advanced Start menu. This program allows users to completely customize their Windows 10 and 11 Start Menu experience with unique features and design, and restore classic features from previous versions of his Windows.
Start11 v2 introduces three new Start menu styles that blend seamlessly with Windows 10 and 11. Each new style is customizable from top to bottom with a focus on different themes: App, Professional, and Launcher.
Start11 v2 also improves the taskbar with new features that speed up access to files and folders. With this release, you can now pin files or folders directly to the taskbar without having to open File Explorer. Or, if you want to create your own quick access menu, you can convert folders into pop-up menus to access frequently used files directly from the taskbar.
“This is a significant update, with over 20 new features,” said Brad Sams, General Manager, Stardock Software. “We're also introducing new enterprise features, including the ability to load Start menu configurations upon login, a kiosk feature that lets you lock components of the Start menu, and improved tools for advanced deployment.”
Start11 v2 also updates the search experience with native integration with the Everything search engine. Additionally, Start11 v2 introduces the ability to back up and restore settings from a file, improved animations when navigating through the Start menu, color tint changes, and more.
A unified icon experience, an option to remove folders from the All Apps list, and more.
Start11 v2 is currently available during release preview for $5.99 and is also included in the award-winning Object Desktop suite. For more information, please visit his Start11 v2 website here.
