Virginia Tech is back in the top 10 in the Associated Press women's basketball Top 25 poll for the first time since November.
In Monday's new poll, the Hokies (22-4, 13-2 ACC) moved up four spots to No. 8.
High Tech finished in the top 10 this season for the first time since the team ranked ninth in the Nov. 27 poll. The following week, the Hokies lost to LSU and fell to 15th place.
Virginia Tech has won nine straight games, including a 61-56 victory over Duke University last Thursday and an 86-70 victory over then-No. 1 Duke University. Sunday Louisville 18th.
Tech center Elizabeth Kitley was named ACC Player of the Week on Monday, earning her fifth honor this season. She had 34 points and 12 rebounds in the win over Duke and 26 points and 13 rebounds in the win over Louisville. She shot 75.8 percent from the field in two games combined.

South Carolina (25-0) received all 35 votes from the National Media Council and maintained its No. 1 spot in the new poll. Ohio State (22-3) was right behind South Carolina. The Buckeyes were followed by No. 3 Stanford (23-3), Iowa (23-3), Texas (24-3) and North Carolina State (23-3, 11-3).
Southern California (20-4), which has won six straight games, moved up three spots to seventh place.
Syracuse (22-4, 12-3) moved up two spots to No. 17.
Notre Dame (18-6, 8-5) fell three spots to 19th place.
Louisville (21-6, 10-4) fell two spots to 20th place.
No. 15 UConn 73, No. 21 Creighton 53
Paige Bueckers scored 24 points and host UW (23-5, 15-0) defeated Creighton on Monday to earn the top seed in the Big East tournament.
Coach Geno Auriemma notched his 1,203rd win, passing former Duke men's coach Mike Krzyzewski for second place on the all-time college basketball wins list behind Stanford's Tara VanDerveer (1,209). Ta.

On Monday, Makila Cook scored 22 points and host Illinois (13-12, 7-8 Big Ten) was shut out, 15-3, and Indiana (21-4, 12-0). 3 losses).

The winner of Ferrum vs. Randolph will face No. 1 seed and defending champion Washington & Lee (23-2, 17-1) in the quarterfinals on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Salem Civic Center.
Roanoke (16-9, 11-7) was seeded No. 6 and earned a final first-round bye. The Maroons will play Randolph-Macon (17-8, 13-5) Friday at 8 p.m.
UConn unanimous No. 1
UW is unanimously No. 1 in this season's Associated Press men's basketball poll for the first time, and Washington State moves to No. 21 in Monday's rankings, ending a 302-week drought dating back to the 2007-08 season. Ta.
The Huskies received all 62 first-place votes from a panel of national media commissioners, scooping up the 16 first-place votes Purdue lost in the Boilermakers' loss to Ohio State on Sunday.
Houston moved into second place ahead of Purdue.
Duke University moved up one spot to No. 8, while North Carolina State dropped three spots to No. 10. UVa fell out of the top 25.
High Point 99, Radford 74
Kimani Hamilton's 34 points lifted High Point (22-6, 11-2 Big South) past Radford (13-14, 3-9) on Saturday night.
Kenyon Giles scored 24 points for the Highlanders.
